Welcome, Rachel! Do you prefer spring
or summer?
Summer definitely! Being in the UK it is so rare to feel the
warmth of the sun on your skin. I make the most of every moment – I work at the
laptop outside in the garden, dog at my feet on the decking, ice-cold diet coke
to hand…bliss!
Share your favorite
thing about your preferred season.
The heat, my favorite outfits of long, floaty skirts and
vest tops, chilled white wine and candles outside until the sun goes down,
barbecues and pub lunches…
Would you rather
engage in spring cleaning or summer dreaming?
Umm…summer dreaming! I abhor housework – the first thing I’m
going to do if I make it big is not buy something extravagant but employ a
cleaner, LOL!
Where do you like to
write during the warmer seasons?
See above – outside on my patio table, huge parasol above me
with the dog snoring at my feet.
Any fun trips planned
for spring or summer?
My husband and I have been together 20 years and married for
15 years this coming June so we’re planning to book three nights away to Rome.
It will be the first time we’ve been away for a trip without the kids in five
years. Can’t wait!
Congrats on the new release! I saw it on the shelf at my local Barnes & Noble and pointed it out to hubby with an "I know her. I'm friends with her." :-D

Old
friends, new secrets
Sergeant
Cat Forrester lives by her own set of rules. When her childhood friend is
murdered, Cat's world is thrown into chaos. Especially because Jay Garrett-a
man from her past-is a suspect, and he needs her help to prove he's innocent.
After all they once shared, how can she say no?
The
attraction flares between them, and getting involved with a suspect is a huge
risk. But the more time Cat spends with Jay, the stronger the tug on her heart.
He is the same caring, irresistible man she remembers. Yet she can't let her
emotions interfere with the case—solving it is top priority. But as she digs
deeper, she discovers Jay has secrets that may jeopardize any possible future
together.
Rachel lives with her husband and
two young daughters in a small town near Bath in the UK. After having several novels published by small
US presses, she secured agent representation in 2011. In 2012, she sold two
books to Harlequin Superromance. She also writes Victorian romance for
Kensington--her debut was released in April 2013.
Rachel is a member of the
Romantic Novelists Association and Romance Writers of America. When she isn’t
writing, you’ll find Rachel with her head in a book or walking the beautiful
English countryside with her family and beloved black Lab, Max. Her dream place
to live is Bourton-on-the-Water in South West England…although she hopes a
dream visit to Canada might just change her mind!
She likes nothing more than
connecting and chatting with her readers and fellow romance writers. Rachel
would love to hear from you!

Great interview, girls. Rachel, I wish you much sunshine. Good luck!
Thanks, Sandra!
I cannot WAIT for the summer - we've had the wettest UK autumn & winter on record. If you think how renowned the UK is for the rain, you'll realize just how horrible it's been. YUK!!!
I plan to be writing outside at every opportunity this summer!

Thanks for visiting, Sandra!
Hope the weather clears up soon, Rachel!
I'm a summer girl all the way, too :) Give me a lounge chair, bare feet, an ice cold soda, beer or a glass of wine and a good book or my laptop, and this girl is in heaven :) I'd really like to move somewhere warmer and if not, somewhere overseas. Congrats on the Harlequin SuperRomance release :)
Hi Niecey,
Were we separated by birth, by any chance?? That is my happiness and thoughts exactly - bring on the summer! Hip, hip...
