Only two days late...
This week has been one of professional work...meaning the work I do on a daily basis to generate a regular income. I write blogs for a local lawyer and articles for Demand Media Studios on a regular basis and perform other freelance writing jobs as they come.
However, I also submitted the last round of edits before galley to my editor for my upcoming release, Twice is Not Enough. Well, I hope they're the last round. We've had many, but each has added a depth and polish to the story that wouldn't have been there without all the effort. Thank you, Lori! I also learned a lot. So, while I hate edits (sorry, Lori), they are quite valuable.
I did manage to squeeze in some time for the third story in the Mates of the Guardian series. I rewrote the intro to show the hero's motivation and share his goals earlier along with adding a hint of conflict. (Sound familiar to anyone...GMC :)) Then I decided to soften the heroine just a tad. I'm off to finish polishing before submission. Wish me luck!
Hi Emma!
ReplyDeleteI work for Demand Studios too! I hear you on edits, although Lori is GREAT! I think I only have one edit left and then galleys on my newest, Hooking Up.
I'm glad you found time to write on a new story!
Woohoo, Lynne! Love the title. The story is almost ready for submissions. One final read through...
