Giving Thanks

I'll be giving thanks the entire month of November for the blessings of 2009. Of course, my biggest blessing has been the gift of my son. Here's a picture of my precious baby Iain at 5 weeks. He likes to stretch out when he sleeps. No bundling for him! The little stinker fidgets until the blankets are thrown off.

I'm also thankful to The Wild Rose Press for publishing my first two short stories:
His Ship, Her Fantasy
now available
His Hope, Her Salvation available December 16th

Additionally, I'd like to say thank you to all my fellow authors that have guested on my blog, hosted me on their blog, or just provided support via emails. A big HUG to them all!

Last, but definitely not least. A BIG THANK YOU to all the readers out there. Each week I'll offer a $5 TWRP gift certificate to posters on my blog. At the end of the month, I'll be giving away a $25 gift certificate to winner's choice of The Wild Rose Press, Amazon, Borders, or Barnes and Noble. If you're a follower of my blog, you're automatically entered once for the monthly prize, but keep leaving comments for more chances to win!

My first gift to all who visit my blog...

  1. Awww, he looks like his daddy from this angle. Who does he look like if he's looking you in the eye? Or when screaming? My daughter looks like my mother when she's screaming. LOL. That tells you a lot about how comfortable/uncomfortable I feel about my mother screaming. LOLLLLLLLL

  2. He looks like his daddy to me, but I'm biased because I wanted a miniature version of my husband. :)

He's got a little of me in his eyes, ears, and skin tone (thank heavens...at least he can tan unlike his dad). Since I'm the grouchy one, I have to say he sounds like me when he's fussing. Hehe.

  3. Oh, Emma what a beautiful baby boy! Thank you so much for sharing his pic with us. And I'm so glad your first two stories are pubbed. I kind of sense you deserve it!

Have a Happy and Safe Halloween! And give that sweet boy hugs from all of us!

  4. What a cutie. My grandson doesn't like to be bundled either. When he was little, he'd run around in a t-shirt and diaper in the dead of winter. Okay, winter's in Houston aren't all that cold, but I was bundled up. He did not like to be hot! My youngest granddaugter (cousin to above) is the same way.

  6. Unfortunately, he takes after me and gets heat rashes. We put him in a sleep blanket last night because of the temperature and when I went to change his diaper, he had a small rash. At least the rashes don't seem to itch.

  7. Oh Emma, what a precous little boy! Enjoy every second...they grow so fast. My "baby" boy already has a baby boy of his own. Oh I love being a gramma.

Thanks for the reminder to count our blessings. Congrats on your releases.

  15. Hi Emma,
Thanks for the lovely picture of your little Iain! What a sweetheart! Enjoy his babyhood because as hard as it is to believe now, the time will just fly by. My oldest "baby" is about to turn 26 and I can hardly believe it.
